The ancient Chinese art of acupuncture is well known for effectively treating a broad range of health problems. During the initial consult a very thorough health history will be taken along with traditional pulse and tongue diagnosis to determine Yin/Yang and Organ imbalances. After all of the diagnostic information is gathered the patient will be diagnosed according to TCM principles and treatment suggestions will be made from the various modalities (i.e., acupuncture, Chinese herbs, nutritional medicine, as well as suggestions for improving diet, lifestyle, and exercise regimen.) This thorough initial consult is very useful in giving both patient and doctor a complete picture of the patient’s health issues and imbalances to facilitate effective treatment of chronic or acute ailments, constitutional imbalances, or for preventative health maintenance and achieving optimal wellness.
